I’m a backpacker who traveled to more than 30 countries so far. As I was traveling I realized certain points which could be improved which would make my travel life more convenient. For example sightseeing. When you come to a city what are you going to do to inform yourself? I guess you use Google to check out the different landmarks and inform yourself a bit. Where is the landmark – when was it build etc. or you bought a book of the city.
The problem I see is, they tell you everything you need to know about the landmark but they don’t tell you how to walk around when you arrived at the landmark. I found myself often in this situation, coming to the landmark make a couple of pictures of the landmark, a couple of pictures with me and the landmark and some only of me. And then? What comes next? Where to go? If I decide to go the street to my left hand side maybe I miss the things on my right hand side. But I don’t have the time to go in both directions!! So I have to decide. Maybe I take this time the street on my left. And for sure it was the wrong decision. There was after 5 mins nothing anymore. I guess you guys know what I’m talking about!
I have to tell you I'm also not a big fan of tour guide even they make a super job. But I feel stressed. It’s always like this, you have 30 mins to check out this and that. But sometimes I want to spend more time at certain spots. It’s just not possible because we have to leave or the bus will go without you. Yes I'm able to see a lot of things but in the same way I felt always like I haven't seen it at all. I don’t know it’s my point of view. But for the people who think the same I was building this website.
Other situation. Once I was sitting with a friend in a coffee place and we talked about travelling. He asked me if we could go together to Japan. He didn’t like to travel alone because he would not know where to go and what he has to see. I guess there are a lot of people who think like him. Another reason why I wanted to build this website.
The idea is to open the homepage, see the map with the prepared track where to go, see yourself with the gps and start exploring.
